The private sector emphasis includes all areas of accounting to include financial reporting, budgeting, profit analysis, cash flow monitoring and tax planning functions for resort apparel manufacturers and a high net worth financial services company. Ms. Owens keeps current with regard to accounting and auditing practices through continuing professional education. Ms. Owens is married and resides in the Atlanta area.

Ms. Owens received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration, major in Accounting from the University of South Florida in 1983. She went on to become a Certified Public Accountant shortly thereafter. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
